Our Scottish Heritage
Being a Scottish company is a great advantage for us. It helps us to produce great meat because Scottish Farmers are rearing great animals. Scottish beef and lamb is predominantly grass fed and all Scottish agriculture is less intensive than elsewhere in Europe. |
|
Quality Rearing and Selection Process
All the Scottish beef on this website is traceable back to individual farms. We have a business relationship with our Scottish suppliers going back a long number of years, which ensures a high quality and consistency of meat.
Our gammons and bacon are Dutch. |

How the Meat is Prepared
We have our own beef hanging chill where the beef is matured before butchery. All of our butchers work on individual orders; we do not operate a line production system. We therefore know exactly which butcher has prepared which order. This is an important quality check. |
|
| Our Standards
To ensure our hygiene practices are just right our premises have a full EC Licence and accreditation from the British Retail Consortium (BRC). No Scottish butcher has a higher hygiene grading. |
