One of the most popular items on our website, rib eye steaks are juicy and tender with great depth of flavours due to their rich marbling and a ribbon of fat that runs through the rib eye that dissolves during cooking, helping to retain moisture and adding flavour.
Belted Galloways are easily recognised for there distinctive markings and are nicknamed the "oreo cow".
Beef from Belted Galloways is low in saturated fat and generally very well-marbled. Marbling, the presence of thin threads of fat throughout the meat, is believed to greatly enhance flavour and tenderness.
This beef has come from W&M Gemmell at Drumdow Farm, Mauchline, Ayrshire where it has been allowed to roam and graze freely on beautiful Scottish grass.
Our experienced Butchers have hand-pick and aged this meat, keeping a keen eye on its progress every day. Using only traditional methods, the beef has been dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days.

All raw meat products must be cooked thoroughly until they are piping hot.
Your meat order is kept cool in transit because we either use an
insulated expanded polystyrene box, or a recyclable tough corrugated
cardboard box which is foil lined and insulated with bubble wrap. Both
boxes are leak-proof and sturdy.
To keep your delivery cool, it is packed along with specially designed
ice packs. Our ice packs are made with a frozen water-based gel, which
keeps the meat at the correct temperature for up to 48 hours. When the
