About Product
RR Spink know the environment in which they grow fish directly impacts its taste, which is they operate on a small scale, ensuring good fish health is always at the core of everything they do.
Loch Etive trout swim in low-density pens and have plenty of room to grow. The trout are fit and healthy, swimming against a cold, fast-flowing current which builds a robust muscle structure.
The fish are grown in a mix of brackish water lochs and freshwater lochs.
Loch Etive Trout have accreditations in Global Gap, Quality Trout UK, Code of Good practice & RSPCA Freedom Food. The RSPCA trout standard was developed with Loch Etive and was the first new RSPCA standard in over 10 years, with Loch Etive being the first company to receive accreditation. Their team of skilled aquaculturalists work collaboratively with organisations like the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, to ensure Loch Etive remains the leader in natural fish farming.

Packaging Information
Your meat order is kept cool in transit because we either use an
insulated expanded polystyrene box, or a recyclable tough corrugated
cardboard box which is foil lined and insulated with bubble wrap. Both
boxes are leak-proof and sturdy.
To keep your delivery cool, it is packed along with specially designed
ice packs. Our ice packs are made with a frozen water-based gel, which
keeps the meat at the correct temperature for up to 48 hours. When the
ice does melt, it stays as a gel, which prevents the delivery becoming
wet.
