About Product
Sea Bass has firm white flesh and thicker fillets than most which makes it suitable for a wide range of dishes. A superb fish with a creamy white, slightly oily flesh and good sweet flavour. The farmed origin enables us to offer it all year round.
It is a hunter with a steely blue back and silver flanks. The gill cover has a very sharp edge and is protected by two vicious spines and the wild members of the species can grow up to 1m and 5kg, but farmed fish are usually sold from 300g to 1kg.
They prefer warmer waters of the Mediterranean coasts along to Southern England.

Packaging Information
Your meat order is kept cool in transit because we either use an
insulated expanded polystyrene box, or a recyclable tough corrugated
cardboard box which is foil lined and insulated with bubble wrap. Both
boxes are leak-proof and sturdy.
To keep your delivery cool, it is packed along with specially designed
ice packs. Our ice packs are made with a frozen water-based gel, which
keeps the meat at the correct temperature for up to 48 hours. When the
ice does melt, it stays as a gel, which prevents the delivery becoming
wet.
