Our bacon buyer has selected van der Meys bacon as the best available - this is the same smoked back bacon as we supply to many of Scotland's best hotels and restaurants.
van der Meys smoked bacon is traditionally brine cured using a recipe dating back to 1956 and traditionally smoked over beech wood. The taste is worlds apart from the moisture and e-number injected bacon on supermarket shelves, with less contraction and moisture loss during cooking. Only whole backs are selected for this bacon, with no more than 10mm of fat and only centre cut rashers are used - with no shoulder rashers.

Your meat order is kept cool in transit because we either use an
insulated expanded polystyrene box, or a recyclable tough corrugated
cardboard box which is foil lined and insulated with bubble wrap. Both
boxes are leak-proof and sturdy.
To keep your delivery cool, it is packed along with specially designed
ice packs. Our ice packs are made with a frozen water-based gel, which
keeps the meat at the correct temperature for up to 48 hours. When the
