Our beef comes from cattle which was born, raised and slaughtered here in Scotland. Here at Campbells, we source beef from farms which meet the Quality Meat Scotland assurance standards.

After we carefully select our beef, we hang it for a period of between 21 and 28 days in our chill. This process ensures that the beef is both tender and flavoursome.

Rump Steak is less expensive and a little less tender than other beef cuts like fillet or sirloin steak. However, it is a fantastic everyday steak that packs plenty of flavour.

Unlike other cuts which benefit from slow cooking, the rump is best done quickly and at a high temperature. Cook the rump steak in a frying pan over a high heat to your taste, whether that is rare, medium or well done.

Our butchers prepare each order onsite at our Linlithgow premises on the day of dispatch. We use 100% fresh meat to prepare every order - no matter how big or small. So, your meat order will arrive as fresh as possible at your door.

Upon delivery, it down to you whether you want to freeze it or consume it that week. All our rump steak products have a refrigeration shelf life of up to six days.
