Lorne sausage, often called square sausage or slice sausage, is a beloved Scottish breakfast staple. Unlike traditional link sausages, it’s made in a rectangular block and sliced into portions before cooking. Campbells’ version follows a time-honoured recipe using premium minced beef and just the right amount of seasoning for a perfectly balanced taste and texture.

The square shape makes this sausage an excellent option for sandwiches and rolls, as well as being served as part of a full traditional Scottish breakfast. The sausage meat is set into a square and sliced into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Approx 5 sausages per 500g.

Your meat order is kept cool in transit because we either use an insulated expanded polystyrene box, or a recyclable tough corrugated cardboard box which is foil lined and insulated with bubble wrap. Both boxes are leak-proof and sturdy.
To keep your delivery cool, it is packed along with specially designed ice packs. Our ice packs are made with a frozen water-based gel, which keeps the meat at the correct temperature for up to 48 hours. When the ice does melt, it stays as a gel, which prevents the delivery becoming wet.
