Our fresh scotch hanger steak is full of flavour. Hanger steaks are also known as thick skirt, onglet steak or bistro steaks. Occasionally the hanger steak will have seams of fat running down the length of the steak. The hanger steak is cut from inside of the flank and is an upcoming popular cut in the UK.

Our beef is from predominantly grass fed Scotch Beef cattle, naturally raised on farms recognised for high standards of animal welfare. Your order is prepared here in Linlithgow by our skilled butchers and delivered to your door fresh, so you can choose between freezing or consuming within a few days.

For information on how to cook a perfect steak take a look at our blog post. Hanger steak also benefits from a bit of marinating so look at our best beef steak marinades for a very tasty and tender hanger steak that is excellent when grilled on the BBQ. We also have our Top 10 Steak Sauces and Top 10 Steak Sides recipes to compliment your steak, and to make life even easier we also have a range of pre-made sauces that are delicious and simple to heat up and serve.

How to cook

All raw meat products must be cooked thoroughly until they are piping hot.

Your meat order is kept cool in transit because we either use an insulated expanded polystyrene box, or a recyclable tough corrugated cardboard box which is foil lined and insulated with bubble wrap. Both boxes are leak-proof and sturdy.

To keep your delivery cool, it is packed along with specially designed ice packs. Our ice packs are made with a frozen water-based gel, which keeps the meat at the correct temperature for up to 48 hours. When the ice does melt, it stays as a gel, which prevents the delivery becoming wet.
