Lentil & Bacon Soup
- 150g red lentils
- 1 x Ham Hock
- 6 x Diced carrots
- 200g Smoked bacon
- 1 x Large diced onion
- 2 x Garlic cloves puree
- Salt & Pepper for seasoning
Step 1 Sweat off the onions, garlic and carrots in a pan and cook until soft.
Step 2 Add the bacon and lentils for a further few minutes.
Step 3 Add enough water to cover.
Step 4 Dice the ham hock into cubes and cook for a further 20 mins.
Step 5 Blitz the mixture until your liking and finish off with salt and pepper to season.
Step 6 Serve up with some warm crusty bread!
