Butcher (Permanent)
Campbells Prime Meat – Linlithgow

Campbells Prime Meat Ltd is Scotland’s leading fish, meat and delicatessen supplier to hotels and restaurants.

We are looking to recruit skilled and experienced butchers on a full-time or part-time basis. Duties will include preparation of the full range of meat and poultry. Good knife skills and previous experience in butchery is required. Rates of pay are negotiable and will depend on experience/skills. Candidates may be required to demonstrate butchery skills with a knife skills test.

These are permanent vacancies. Nightshift or dayshift vacancies are available, part-time and full-time roles are available.

Nightshift hours are typically 9pm to 5am. We can offer working 4 nights per week, or full-time, which is 5 nights per week. Saturday night is non-working.

Rate of pay is negotiable and this would be discussed at interview.

Dayshift is working Monday to Friday and also 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. Hours of work can be flexible if you require this and part-time (working 4 days per week) is also on offer, if this is preferred.

Trainee/Apprentice Butcher
Campbells Prime Meat – Linlithgow

Campbells Prime Meat Ltd is Scotland’s leading supplier of meat, fish and delicatessen products to hotels and restaurants. We are now recruiting apprenticeship positions in our Butchery. These are permanent positions.

Our trainees will work closely with our experienced butchers, learning all aspects of butchery work on the full range of meats, poultry and game. This will include learning knife skills – trimming, de-boning and portioning. Also working with butchery machinery such as labellers, packing equipment, scales, etc. Sharpening and maintaining knives and the equipment used. We also have a formal SVQ apprenticeship training programme.

Cleaning of equipment and work areas to maintain high food safety standards and ensuring paperwork is completed as required for food safety.

Our ideal Trainee Butcher will be a reliable team player who is keen to learn and develop butchery skills.

A good level of physical fitness is required, and you must be willing to work in a chilled environment.
The normal hours of work are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and also 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. The start and finish times can be amended if you require this.

Note that public transport is not available to our factory. Applicants must have own transport or have arrangements to get to work and you are requested to confirm this with your application.

Fishmongers/Fish Filleters
Campbells Prime Meat – Linlithgow
Experienced fishmongers or fish filleters are required.

Duties will include filleting all types of fish, according to our customer’s specifications, and packing products for despatch. This involves filleting high volumes of products – so excellent knife skills and previous experience is required.

These are permanent positions. An immediate start is offered.
Rate of pay is negotiable and this would be discussed at interview.

Dayshift positions and Nightshift positions are available, working part time or full time.

Own transport is required – due to our location.

Trainee / Apprentice Fishmonger

Campbells Prime Meat Ltd is Scotland’s leading supplier of meat, fish and delicatessen products to hotels and restaurants. We are now recruiting apprenticeship positions in our Fish Department. These are permanent positions.

Our trainees will work closely with our experienced fishmongers, learning all aspects of this work on the full range of fish and fish products. This will include learning knife skills – , filleting, scaling, pin-boning and portioning. Also working with machinery such as labellers, packing equipment, scales, etc. Sharpening and maintaining knives and the equipment used. We also have a formal SVQ apprenticeship training programme.

Vacancies for Production Operatives (Nightshift or Dayshift)
Campbells Prime Meat – Linlithgow

Production operatives required for various departments in our factory. Duties will include food production tasks – operating machinery, weighing and labelling products and packing orders ready for despatch to our customers.
Previous experience in food production would be an advantage although full training will be provided.

These are permanent positions. Wage rates are negotiable and dependant on relevant experience.

Nightshift or dayshift vacancies are available.
Dayshift hours are typically 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. Please note that our start and finish times can be amended to suit what you require.

Nightshift staff work 9pm to 5am. We have vacancies to work 4 or 5 nights per week (Saturday night is non-working).
