Lamb Shoulder is another traditional cut, not as tender and lean as the leg, but a slow roast shoulder is worth every effort and good value for money. Good on its own, but ideally matched with strongly flavoured herbs and spices.

Our lamb is Scotch Lamb, naturally raised on a diet of grass and heather and prepared by hand here in Linlithgow by our traditional butchers.

Your meat order is kept cool in transit because we either use an insulated expanded polystyrene box, or a recyclable tough corrugated cardboard box which is foil lined and insulated with bubble wrap. Both boxes are leak-proof and sturdy.

To keep your delivery cool, it is packed along with specially designed ice packs. Our ice packs are made with a frozen water-based gel, which keeps the meat at the correct temperature for up to 48 hours. When the ice does melt, it stays as a gel, which prevents the delivery becoming wet.

I was sent two mini pork roasts by mistake so I can't really comment other than to say best I get the lamb if and when I ever order again. Then perhaps I can give it a proper review.
